Project/Program Manager with Wi-Fi Rollout experience

This is a a 3 year contract so the individual can either be hired fulltime or a contract. There is about 20% Travel with this position

 

Position Objective:

This position is responsible for managing and coordinating the national dealer rollout of smart glass technology to our North American dealers, reporting to the After Sales Technical Support Department.

 

Specifically, the incumbent will be responsible for on-boarding, training and supporting dealers engaged in the program across a 3 year rollout, developing training and program-based tools, tracking the progress of important program metrics and overseeing the program’s technical support contractor. The Program Manager will work with various departments/business entities within Porsche (Porsche AG, Porsche Cars North America, Porsche Cars Canada, Porsche Consulting, Mieschke Hofmann und Partner (MHP), Porsche dealers, etc.) to implement this new initiative.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develops and manages the three year roll out of the Tech Live Look program, including milestone management, training, documentation and dealer infrastructure consultation
  • Manages internal and external partnerships including critical partnerships between dealers, software vendor and hardware supplier
  • Manages and coordinates the target setting and tracking processes to empower data-driven decisions during the rollout processes
  • Facilitates meetings, identifies and assembles key stakeholders as well as subject matter experts, and assigns individual responsibilities, as required
  • Enables and fosters cross-departmental information exchange and effectively communicates relevant information to management and other key stakeholders including program status, dealer infrastructure recommendations, software release changes, on-site rollout
  • Analyzes financial models, interprets the data, and provides business leaders with information that will be used to make strategic business decisions
  • Works with business units (departments) to develop process revisions that enhance efficiency and effectiveness

 

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelors’ degree in Technology, Business, Human Factors or equivalent required
  • Master of Business Administration or other graduate degree is preferred

 

Experience (Job and Industry):

  • 3+ years professional experience with a leading industrial corporation or leading consultancy
  • 2+ years project management experience leading projects of various sizes
  • Experience managing projects with international teams and scope is a plus
  • 1+ year experience developing data driven decision recommendations for Executive/Senior level management
  • 1+ year experience in emerging technologies, specifically AR, VR, MR is a plus

  • Advanced experience with standard Microsoft Office applications (Project, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

  • Technical fluency related to wireless network connectivity, augmented reality applications and basic technical support of system connectivity needed
  • PMP or other project management certification is a plus
