Spartan in the Community

Spartan Technologies is also committed to the Atlanta community both as individuals and as a company, supporting many community efforts and providing pro bono professional services to companies like Zoo Atlanta. Below are a few of the community activities that are important to us!

Zoo Atlanta

Zoo Atlanta

Zoo Atlanta receives donations of bamboo from citizens across Georgia, which was difficult to track from donation to usage. Spartan Technologies designed and developed a Bamboo Tracking ASP.NET application to bridge this process gap.

This successful project has helped Zoo Atlanta to conscientiously care for this precious endangered species.

Katrina Relief Mission

United Methodist Churches

Spartan Technologies supports a consolidated effort through the United Methodist Churches consortium and Mount Pisgah UMC to provide continued relief to Hurricane Katrina victims.

The yearly mission trip to various coastal cities in Mississippi has brought aid, support, and home repairs to predominately poor communities. New roofs, new wheelchair ramps, new landscaping, and painting both inside and out are the primary tasks completed by the dedicated mission crews. These Mississippi Delta families, impacted by circumstance and touched by friendship, are able to live better lives due to the mission's helping hands.

Roswell Home

Roswell

Spartan Technologies is dedicated to helping those in need through the Christmas holidays. Each year, an initiative is planned to reach out to the community and provide assistance where it is missing.

In 2007, Spartan threw a Christmas party at the Roswell Home of Heath & Rehabilitation. We provided a combination of desserts and Christmas carols, meant to bring cheer to those without families or loved ones nearby. A good time was had by all!

The Cool Girls

The Cool Girls

This program is dedicated to the self –empowerment of girls in low- income communities.

The Cool Girls program instills confidence and provides exposure to a boarder world of opportunity through mentoring relationships, field trips, health and life skills education and academic support.

This mission is achieved through the collaborative efforts of volunteers, staff, schools and the local community in active partnership with the girls and their parents.

Habitat for Humanity

Habitat For Humanity

Habitat for Humanity is a nonprofit, ecumenical Christian housing ministry seeking to eliminate poverty housing and homelessness from the world, and to make decent shelter a matter of conscience and action.

Habitat has built more than 250,000 houses around the world, providing more than 1 million people in more than 3,000 communities with safe, decent, affordable shelter.

Through volunteer labor and donations of money and materials, Habitat builds and rehabilitates simple, decent houses with the help of the homeowner (partner) families. Habitat houses are sold to partner families at no profit and financed with affordable loans. The homeowners’ monthly mortgage payments are used to build still more Habitat houses. Each homeowner invest hundreds of hours of their own labor-sweat equity –into building their Habitat house and the house of others.

Youth Sports

Spartan Technologies employees are involved throughout the communities in which they live supporting our youth sports and academic programs. We believe it is our mission to give our children a safe haven to play and learn, and to promote their physical, mental, social, educational, and spiritual growth.

New Hope Mission

New Hope Mission
Spartan Technologies is ever mindful of how the tough economic times are impacting our society. Spartan supports the New Hope Mission, an initiative dedicated to providing food, emotional support, and sense of community to the Marietta homeless.  Spartan employees provide funds, food, and a helping hand to this worth-while mission, which endeavors to connect those in need with a sense of worth and respect. Spartan sponsored a Christmas dinner in 2008 for over 50 displaced Americans, providing a delicious barbeque dinner with all the trimmings, plus Christmas cookies and a snack to take with them to remind them that they are still important - and not forgotten.
